Manifesto

Why MSPs will win AI.

Everyone is asking who wins the AI era, the hyperscalers, the model labs, the consultancies. We think the answer is quieter, closer to the customer, and already in the room: the managed service provider.

Here's the case, in six claims.

01

The customer isn't buying AI. They're buying confidence.

No business actually wants "an AI agent." They want the outcome, faster work, lower cost, better service, delivered in a way that won't leak their data, breach a regulation, or blow up in an audit. What they're really buying is the confidence that it's safe. Confidence isn't a feature you download; it's something a trusted partner provides. That partner is the MSP.

02

AI doesn't disrupt managed services. It supercharges them.

Every wave of technology that looked like a threat to MSPs, cloud, SaaS, security, became their biggest growth engine, because complexity is the MSP's raw material. AI is the largest complexity wave yet. It doesn't end the managed-services model; it begins its most valuable chapter: the MSP as the customer's AI adoption partner.

MSP 1.0 fixed what broke. MSP 2.0 managed the cloud. MSP 3.0 makes AI safe to adopt.

03

Governance is the new managed service.

Every AI feature switched on creates identities, agents, Copilots, service principals, OAuth grants, each with standing access to company data. Governing them isn't a compliance chore; it's the thing that lets a customer say "yes" to AI at all. The MSP who owns that governance owns the most strategic conversation the customer will have this decade.

04

You can't govern what you can't see.

Observability comes first. Before anyone can secure or approve an AI identity, someone has to find it, know what it can reach, and who owns it. That inventory, continuous, independent, across every client tenant, is the foundation everything else stands on. It's also the artefact that turns a vague worry into a billable conversation.

05

Adoption isn't a project. It's a relationship.

AI identity sprawl never stops, so governance is never "done." That's not a burden, it's the most durable kind of engagement there is. The MSP stays in the account every month: monitoring, re-assessing, delivering quarterly evidence to the board. Day 2 never ends, and the MSP is the one who's there for it.

06

This is the most durable recurring revenue an MSP can build.

A one-off sale becomes an ongoing, high-margin service. Licence margin is the floor; the onboarding, governance and quarterly-posture services wrapped on top are the lift, and they renew on their own evidence. It compounds across a book of clients the MSP already serves, with no new customer to acquire.

The companies that win AI won't be the ones that build it. They'll be the ones customers trust to run it. That's the MSP.

This is the future we're building Sabiki for.

AIRM gives MSPs the observability and governance to make AI safe across Microsoft 365, and turn it into a recurring service. See it on a client tenant, free.
